Reese and Alex have been friends for years. Alex has the landscaping background with over 10 years of commercial servicing, while Reese’s expertise is in designing scalable systems that provide consistent customer service. It wasn’t until each of them had separate, but similar, experiences trying to find easy, reliable services to winterize their homes that they decided to act. After a number of missed appointment windows and broken sprinkler heads, they came together to create the company they wished had been there for them.

Absolutely! When cold temperatures arrive in Colorado, the freezing weather can wreak serious havoc on your irrigation system. As the ground freezes, so does the water within your pipes, causing them to expand and potentially burst. Properly winterizing your sprinkler system is a critical step to preventing costly damage.
Sprinkler blowout should be done in Colorado before the ground freezes, typically in September or October. Our Colorado winters can be unpredictable, so it’s best to automate your winterizing with SEASONED so we time it correctly each year, guaranteed.
The time required depends on the size of your irrigation system. Our technicians can blow out one sprinkler zone with our professional-grade compressors in about 5 minutes. For a 4-zone system, you can expect the full service to take 20-25 minutes.
If you skip winterization, the freezing Colorado temperatures can cause the water in your pipes to expand and crack or burst your lines, leading to costly leaks and flooding damage in and outside your home. It’s simply not worth the risk – professional winterization is a must.
Although possible, DIY sprinkler winterization is not recommended. Irrigation systems require specialized professional equipment and expertise to properly clear them. Leaving even a small amount of water can still result in burst pipes. For your Colorado home, it’s best to have our professional team handle the winterization to ensure it’s done right.
We recommend aerating your lawn at least 2 times per year for best results – once in the spring and once in the fall. Aerating helps alleviate soil compaction that can occur from heavy foot traffic, lawn mowers, and other use. Doing this routine maintenance annually keeps your lawn healthy and your soil primed to effectively absorb water and nutrients for strong healthy root systems. But with SEASONED, you never have to worry about scheduling – we automatically schedule the spring and fall aeration services for you.
The ideal times to aerate are in the spring and fall when grass is actively growing. Aerating in the spring prepares your lawn for the peak growing season, while fall aeration helps grassroots establish before winter. These temperate seasons allow your lawn to quickly recover and benefit from the aeration. Sign up for either of our plans and we do this automatically for you.
The time it takes to aerate a lawn can vary based on factors like lawn size and soil conditions. On average, our professional aeration service takes about 1 hour to complete. Our team uses specialized, high-powered equipment to quickly and efficiently punch holes throughout the soil across your entire lawn, ensuring even and thorough aeration.
Regular aeration is essential for maintaining a healthy, lush lawn. It reduces soil compaction, enabling better absorption of the water, oxygen, and nutrients that grassroots need to thrive. Aeration also helps relieve thatch buildup and allows new grass growth to emerge. However, achieving optimal results requires heavy, specialized equipment and quality lawn care products.
That’s where SEASONED comes in. Our professional aeration service uses top-of-the-line tools and materials to get your lawn looking its absolute best. We handle all the work, so you can enjoy the effortless results of a thick, green, vibrant yard. Let us take care of your aeration needs and watch your lawn reach its full potential.
